2. How We Use Your Information

FilmyBazaar utilizes your data for the following purposes, directly reflected in our application logic:

• Personalization: To power features like "Continue Watching," "AI Recommendations," and your personal wishlist.
• Analytics & Optimization: To understand which content is popular, optimize server selection (fastest server detection), and improve caching strategies.
• Service Delivery: To stream trailers, display movie posters, and fetch metadata from TMDB based on your searches.
• Security: To monitor for unauthorized access and ensure the integrity of our platform.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Data stored locally (wishlist, watch history) remains on your device unless you choose to share it.

3. Third-Party Services

FilmyBazaar integrates with the following third-party services to deliver content:

• The Movie Database (TMDB): We fetch movie metadata, posters, trailers, and ratings using their API. Your searches and requests are sent to TMDB; their privacy policy applies to those transmissions.
• Streaming Servers (Vidlux): When you play a movie or episode, your request is routed through our server selection logic to third-party streaming hosts. These services may collect viewing data according to their own policies.
• YouTube (for trailers): Trailers are embedded via YouTube; Google’s privacy policy governs your interaction with those players.
• Analytics: We may use aggregated, anonymized analytics to understand platform usage; no personal data is shared.

FilmyBazaar is not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their policies.

4. Local Storage & Cookies

Our application uses your browser's localStorage to save:

• Your wishlist (filmybazaar_wishlist)
• Continue-watching progress (filmybazaar_continue_watching)
• Watch history (filmybazaar_watch_history)
• Cached movie data (filmybazaar_cache) to reduce API calls and speed up browsing
• "New content" markers (filmybazaar_new_content)

This data stays on your device and is never automatically transmitted to our servers. You can clear it at any time via your browser settings. No tracking cookies are used for cross-site advertising.

5. Data Retention

We retain cached API data for up to one hour (configurable) to ensure fresh content. Your local wishlist and history are stored indefinitely on your device until you clear them. Server logs (if any) containing IP addresses are anonymized after 30 days.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard measures, including HTTPS encryption and input sanitization, to protect data in transit. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. You acknowledge that you use FilmyBazaar at your own risk.

7. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Request deletion of your locally stored data (you can clear browser storage).
• Opt out of any future data collection (by ceasing use of the platform).
